A roof window should always be installed using a flashing. The flashing is available in a separate box.There are several standard flashing types available - each of them fits a particular range of roofing materials.
The flashing makes perfect installation easy and it ensures a 100% watertight window. Please note that the 10 guarantee on the roof window is applicable only if the roof window is installed with a correct flashing.
The flashings are all made from aluminium and painted in the same umber grey color as the window to improve aesthetics. The flashings are all weather and UV resistant and they have been tested for complete water tightness under the most rigorous conditions.

Slate flashing
The slate flashing (SF) is a standard flashing. This flashing is equipped with an umber grey lacquered steel apron, which makes it suitable for roofing materials with a height of 0-16 mm. The slate flashing (SF) is available in all sizes.
Universal flashing
The universal flashing (UF) is a standard flashing. This flashing is equipped with an umber grey lacquered lead apron, which makes it suitable for roofing materials with a height of 0-120 mm. However, for roofing materials below 60 mm it is recommended to use the slate flashing or the tile flashing for improved aesthetics. The universal flashing (UF) is available in all sizes.
Combi flashings
Quite often it is advantageous to place two roof windows side-by-side. In order to do this you need a combi flashing (TC). The combi flashing is available only as a tile flashing with an umber grey lacquered lead apron and therefore applicable to 16-90 mm roofing material.
The combi flashing is available in two versions ? one for a rafter width of 100 mm (TF 13E) and one for a rafter width of 140 mm (TF 13G). The rafter width is specific per country and therefore often only one type is available for you in your market.
The combi flashings are available only in size 78 x 118 cm (M6A) and size 78 x 140 cm (M8A).
